On 21 July 2015, Suriname was struck by a disaster. For the first time in history tornado-like gusts of wind were experienced in the neighborhood of “Zorg en Hoop” and created a ravage to 2 schools and 35 houses. One of the schools which needed repair was the St.Bernadette school. The roof of the school was completely destroyed by this natural disaster. The feeling of social responsibility of Precamp immediately came to the surface when we heard about their need. That’s why we immediately started the fabrication of a galvanized steel roof construction for the St.Bernadette School at Paramaribo and donated it to them. The construction and roof cladding were installed by other companies and the brand new roof was ready within 6 days.
